Player Spotlight - Logan Milestone '27
Logan Milestone ‘27 is a powerhouse both on and off the court. You may know him as being one of the MVP’s of the Men’s Club Volleyball team. Milestone is a consistent feature in every game recap, being highlighted for his dominant presence and athletic expertise. But, who is Milestone when he’s not hitting the ball?
Milestone was raised in San Francisco, California. Growing up in the city exposed him to the fast-paced competitive sports environment that he would soon become accustomed to. Milestone is no stranger to sports, in fact during his elementary years at Saints Peter and Paul school he played basketball, soccer, baseball, and flag football. When he got to Sacred Heart Cathedral, it was primarily basketball freshmen and sophomore year. By the time Milestone was a junior, he transitioned his way into volleyball. Milestone emphasized that this transition was integral to his approach on collaboration, whether that be on or off the court. He acknowledges that both basketball and volleyball are team-centered sports, but volleyball’s approach to teamwork was something he had never experienced before. Every aspect needs communication, trust, and complete reliance on teammates.
Outside of sports, Milestone has led a very active lifestyle. Some of his favorite childhood memories stem from his family’s Yosemite trip every summer. Their time there was spent hiking, swimming, biking, and simply basking in the great outdoors together. This is when Milestone feels most like himself, engaging in any mobile activity that challenges his somatic talents. He also is a big fan of the kitchen, constantly experimenting with new recipes and flavors. Milestone is never one to shy away from a plate full of delicious food. Currently, Milestone prioritizes his physical health, focuses on personal growth, and dedicates time learning about business and investments. Milestone says, “I’m always looking for ways to improve—whether physically, mentally, or professionally”. He has learned that achieving his goals is a result of consistency and discipline.
Speaking of Milestone’s goals, he has ambitious aspirations for himself. Majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship and a minor in Finance, he has intentions of diving into the real estate business. After graduating from Saint Mary’s, Milestone would like to become a real estate agent in San Francisco, with the long-term goal of owning his own brokerage firm one day.
Logan Milestone ‘27 is someone you want on your team, whether that be on the court, in the office, or even in the kitchen. When and if you come across him, it is guaranteed you will see a young man who is extremely disciplined, driven, and committed to self-improvement.
