A Well-Earned Victory

Women's Club Soccer battled against the Sonoma State Seawolves on Saturday afternoon. The energy between these two teams was electric and captivating to watch. Early on in the first half, our Gaels were able to secure a goal, thanks to Brianna Kyne '27.
Throughout this match, our team displayed effective communication skills and seamless passes between players. The defense was solid, as Margaret Hamlin '27 consistently blocked our opponents from continuing further into Gael territory.
The second half began with both teams maintaining flow and driving towards the other's goals. Our offense was persistent and never stopped pushing towards triumph. Fortunately, Sonja Smeritschnig '26 closed out the second half with another goal and solidified the win.
Our Gaels showed true teamwork and resilience. This thrilling game ended in a well-earned 2-0 victory for our Women's Club Soccer team. This is the first win of the season for our Gaels who now have a 1-2 record.
