Gaels Celebrate Seniors Against USF
By: Emma Owen Dildine
Last weekend was a special event for the Women's Club Soccer team since they were having their senior night. Unfortunately for the Gaels, this was a loss, but they were able to shake that off and still dominate in the game.
Sophia Donahue '28 really stepped up during this game. She typically plays midfielder, but with their usual goalie down due to an unfortunate injury, Donahue subbed in. Then, even when things got tricky for the Gaels, we saw that Sophia Villalobos '27 was able to keep the game heated and aggressive, going in hard on her attacks.
Even though the team lost with a final score of 0-3, we saw that the team was able to keep up great communication and chemistry as a team. They never backed down and stayed persistent in their offense against the Dons.
Up next, the Gaels will be hosting their first-ever Women's Club Soccer tournament! This will take place at 12 pm on April 25-26th, and the tournament will feature five other local teams. Hopefully, in these upcoming games, the Gaels can keep up their fiery attacks! Finally, another shoutout to the seniors on the team!
